    3. Steam Machines, customizable, hackable and open-source hardware designed to run Steam OS on a console in the living room! Can Valve compete with the big three in the console market?
    4. The Steam Controller, introducing 3 touch sensitive track pads designed to translate the PC gaming experience to a controller in a way never done before. What are people saying so far? How can 2 giant track-pads replace buttons, analog sticks, the established controller experience?

      2. Over $1 Billion in sales since debut!
      3. Some video game parents have come out saying it’s too violent; voice actors have responded saying they agree, but that’s ok. Parents need to have more control over what their children play.
      4. GTA Online has proven potential, but plagued with latency, glitches, bugs, etc. Reports of entire characters being deleted without warning, little chance of getting them back; Rockstar already released a patch to fix, but has it helped any? Why release a product with so many problems instead of waiting and tweaking?
      5. 3.    Farewell to a Legend: Tom Clancy Passes Away at 66
        1. Prolific author Tom Clancy passed away in a Baltimore hospital at 66; responsible for dozens of military-themed novels that inspired movies and video games
        2. Co-founded Red Storm Entertainment in late 1990s, purchased by Ubisoft in 2000; helped design major military games such as Rainbow Six, Splinter Cell, Ghost Recon
        3. What affect will his passing have on these games? Will they continue to make more sequels?
        4. 4.    Mobile vs. Console: Who is Getting More Time?
          1. Mobile gaming has become a major market in recent years!
          2. New study released by NPD Group reports that children 2-17 are playing games on mobile devices much more than before, almost as much as on console
          3. In 2011, spending average of 5 hours on mobile devices; in 2013, an average of 7 or more
          4. Consoles still remain the primary gaming device, but for how long?
          5. What effect will this have in the foreseeable future for console developers and studios?
