Tonight’s Topics include:

– Windows updates. Looks like Service Pack 2 is coming in August, speculation about what’s in it. Also new info for Threshold (Windows 9), coming sometime in 2015, including the new Start menu, windows Metro apps, etc. Could also touch on rumored new $199-$249 Windows PCs and how they might compete with Chromebook sales at similar price points.

– The Internet of Everything (aka the Internet of Things). Recent article published on this topic, getting lots of attention, getting ready to write a whole book on the topic. Big, big, futuristic deal.

– Ongoing changes in the music industry. Here’s an article that addresses the changes (from CDs to digital downloads to streaming music services) from a business perspective, but seldom do the business types address the issue from a musician’s perspective. All these tech companies are getting into the game and they don’t give a damn about the music, it’s just all anonymous “content” to them. As such, the musicians are getting screwed really big time.
