Marcel Gagné is the author of several books including “Moving to Linux: Kiss the Blue Screen of Death Goodbye!”, now in it’s 2nd edition! Other books include ”Moving to Ubuntu Linux.” And his newest title is ”Moving to Free Software.” He was also a Linux Journal monthly columnist. His column is titled, “Cooking with Linux.” He joins us monthly for our Linux Show!

Tonight’s topics include a brand new Ubuntu and Kubuntu (v 15.04), the latest KDE Plasma desktop environment, really strange Linux distributions (Satanic Linux, anyone?), the joy of ASCII, getting your public officials to save money with open source, and more including whatever jumps into our listeners’ heads. On the business side of things, the story of migrating a Microsoft SQL Server database to Oracle on enterprise Linux. We’ll also talk about what’s happening in the Linux and open source world in general.
