Artificial Intelligence is already infiltrating our lives on a consumer level (Siri, Alexa, etc.) by performing menial tasks that add marginal value. Some businesses are already using AI symbiotically alongside humans to tackle real threats (for example, Facebook using AI to comb through posts for ‘at risk’ behavior), but beyond the glamour applications, there is a real shift occurring in the workforce where humans and ‘robots’ are collaborating.
