paleblue Review, Rechargable Batteries Like Never Before

paleblue Review

Batteries Suck. There’s no easy way to put it. Americans alone buy more than 3 Billion batteries every year. And that is to replace that many in devices we use every day. So that’s why we were excited for our chance to do a paleblue Review.

The Problem Up Until Now

A lot of devices have built in batteries now, and need recharging, but even that isn’t a great solution. Because many of these devices lose their ability to keep a charge over time. Replacing them is, in a lot of cases, more than just replacing the item in question. So we strike the middle ground with today’s paleblue Smart Batteries.

While I’ll admit, not as convenient as disposable. I mean, what is? But Computer America has been a long time advocate for e-waste and recycling. We do it not because it’s easy, but because the impacts of alkaline batteries on the environment are so horrible. Each paleblue can replace 1000 batteries in its lifetime.

The Solution

We received 4 AA’s and 4 AAA’s to test, and this is an idea that just makes so much sense. A mini USB charging port on the side lets you recharge these from anything with a USB port, in just a matter of minutes. With the added benefit of being able to top off a half spent battery. No more running out of battery in the middle of the day. Also if you happen to carry a portable charger in your gear, which are rather inexpensive, you’ll find yourself with days of charge with none of the waste.

The Verdict

Computer America recommends you purchase these. Over the life of the battery, you will save money. Investing in something that we see as disposable is always a hard sell. But if you find yourself burning through batteries, you’ll recoup the cost quickly. If you’d like to know any more about our paleblue Review, please feel free to contact us on social media.

Cost comes out to about $30 for each pack of AA and AAA. And available through their kickstarter.
